One of my core beliefs (which I’ve stated elsewhere) is that people want to succeed. No one wakes up in the morning thinking:

• “I’m going to see how miserable I can be today.” Or,
• “I’m going to let anger get the best of me.” Or, 
• “I’m going to alienate my teenage daughter.” Or,
• “I’m think I’ll blow my presentation in front of my customer.”

Failure happens, but for the vast majority of people it is not the result of deliberate intent. People want to succeed, make a difference, have enjoyable and productive relationships, find joy and meaning in life. The desire to succeed is as inborn and natural as breathing, eating, and sleeping.

This fact brings me great hope. Certainly failure is real. But I believe it is learned as a consequence of growing up in an imperfect world in which we suffer through difficult experiences and come to false conclusions about ourselves, our relationships, and how to survive.

I love a quote from John Drinkwater: “We know the hemlock from the rose, the pure from stained, the noble from the base.” Our deepest nature knows what is good. (Hostility does not breed joy.) And our deepest nature desires what is good—joy, peace, love, significance, connection, success—even when we do and justify that which is “wrong.”

I don’t mean for this to sound moralistic. But I do mean to say that something deep inside you knows right from wrong, good from bad, whether you act upon this knowledge or not. This principle is the basis for my great hope and trust in humankind. If people can learn to listen, this inner nature will lead them towards fulfillment and growth.

Which pretty much defines what our services are about. I wrote The Hero’s Choice  and we offer a variety of services in order to:
